The work I Produce is dominated by my focus on surface texture colour and pattern. I choose simple forms to act as canvas for my experiments and I often lean towards the nostalgic with bowls, cups and saucers.
I take my inspiration from many different sources - mostly those found in my urban environment. Graffiti, cakes, vintage fabric and decomposing paint have all played a role in my work so far. i like to borrow snatches of colour or pattern and amalgamate them in a way that works best for what I’m working on at the time. I work mainly in porcelain slip which has been heavily stained using commercial colours.
