I completed an MA in Multidisciplinary Printmaking at the University of West of England in June 2006 having discovered the Ceramics Workshop in week 5 of the three year part-time course. I was seldom to be found anywhere else after that.
I delight in the feel of clay in its many different states, in the tactile process of making and the excitement of opening a freshly fired kiln. My work combines porcelain with several print techniques to achieve layers of detail and patterning.I leave much of my work unglazed and sanded for a matt, velvet like finish but also combine it with elements of glaze and lustre to heighten its texture.
